As women we feel constant pressure to be and do everything for everyone else with grace, perfection, and finesse. Bleh!
As a new nutritionist I’m seeing the effects first hand of what happens to women when they focus all their energy on others and put themselves last. Too many hours go by without food. (This kills me!) Maybe, if you’re lucky you’ll get in a workout here and there but with no fuel to do any bit of good. MORE coffee for energy to get through the rest of the day, only to start the vicious cycle again the next morning.
Staahhhp it already!
What are we teaching our little people? That we’re not worthy of love, self-care, and health? You have little eyes watching your every move. Would you want your daughters to treat themselves the way you are? I say it’s high time to break this terrible cycle.
Now, go get some healthy food and repeat after me. “I am worthy of self-love, self-care, and putting myself first so I have the energy and stamina to take care of others around me. I am enough!”
But how do I start breaking these bad habits Nicole?
Here are a few quick fixes to put into practice.

If you are feeling low on energy mid day but have solid meetings, My quick fix: Always have a shaker bottle full of dry protein powder and a bag of nuts stashed in your office.
