Rest & Recuperation...DO IT!

Your body needs rest just as much as it needs movement. Listen to your body...it knows better than you.


A little reflection as we head into the weekend:


Sometimes you need to let yourself zen the heck out & pay attention to what your body and mind are asking of you. If they need to rest, then REST and don’t feel guilty one bit. It’s essential for your mind and body to sit idle just as much as they need to move and be active.


My husband and I took a nice little vacation to Cabo a fews weeks ago and prior to that I was hurting, I was tired, and quite frankly was not feeling the gym at all! On the plane ride down I made a conscious effort to redirect my energy towards my meditation practice instead of forcing myself to “physically” workout. That time off was exactly what the doctor ordered and guess what? When I decided to get back in the gym, my workouts were much more effective and my mind was centered…well, as much as it can be.





Moral of the story…listen to your body. It knows better than you. 😉

You can't be "on" all the time. If you are consistent with your nutrition and workouts do your body a favor and let it rest every now and then.
